003—Landing Page

003: Landing Page (above the "fold")
Today's goal was to design a landing page. I decided to design the landing page for SOAR, which is a space-focused club I helped start in college. I wanted to take advantage of the super valuable "above the fold" space by showing activity on the site, but also making important links quickly accessible.

Today's Reflection:
I had some fun with color and space (pun not intended, but appreciated) today. I spent a bit longer than expected, but this allowed me to make more fine details with the type—which adds up!

Good:
• Good control of type
• Engaging imagery and colors
• Good use of space

Room for Improvement:
• The organization of elements could be better. Maybe it's a little too filled right now.
• UI design took about 1.5 hours
