GP Studios - Logo Design

Logo I designed for GP Studios. This logo takes our studio from 1985 to today, with a fresh and creative new look.

Inspired by the dash in our mother company’s logo for “Georgia-Pacific”, I played around with the idea of
connecting the end of the lobe of the “P” to the
crossbar of the “G”.

The mark is unique in how the shape is created by one continuos line. It connects and makes obvious that GP is an important part of us and isn’t just someone’s initials. The final mark feels concrete and strong, reminiscent of where the idea of “branding” comes from: a forged steel brand stamp.

The end result is a playful interpretation of the mother logo, that exudes a modern and youthful vibe.
