Red Sox Scores: May 12, 2017

Game No. 35

Rays starter Alex Cobb kept the Sox offense quiet, limiting them to just one hit over the first six innings while his team knocked around Cy Young winner Rick Porcello. Trouble came in the bottom of the seventh though when Boston took advantage of three errors — two of them on the same play — to score four times and pull within one run of the lead. That would be all the action the Sox could muster however against a solid Tampa Bay pitching staff.

For every Red Sox game this season, @Amy Parker and I will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
