Yellowcorn Logo

This is a logo I created for a recovery service run by my mother's husband in Pittsburgh. He is a Native American and uses his beliefs and practices in aiding those struggling with addiction.

Within the icon itself, I used the space between all three shapes as a reinforcement of the name with a Y shape. The curve of this space creates an upward and positive motion, giving a sense of hope for those that may seek it from such an organization. The division in the top portion where the body of the corn appears is a symbolic representation of the Native American recovery circle. I chose to rotate this slightly to allow for the yellow to appear as the corn.
