Book Cover

Texture is one of my favorite aspects to play with in design. I often spend a large amount of time contemplating the way a design should be carried into print.

This book is about a females insecurities, her fall into mental illness and her rebirth. Through the cover I wanted to capture the feelings an individual felt while reading the book.

I hand painted this image using water colour paints to tie into the multiple instances where the ocean and rebirth is mentioned. This book was printed on raw, coarse paper to signify the deepness and realistic nature of the books contents.
