Cherokee Gods Eye

My Grand Pa Mack made a 4” x 4” God’s Eye. It hung on my parents wall my entire life. Even when we moved when I was 7, the God’s Eye moved with us. It’s one of those things I always remember seeing on the wall but never really paid much attention to. But, whenever I saw it out of my peripheral vision, I always experienced a feeling deep in my subconscious. I felt home.
---
So, it’s 2017. My Dad finally removed it from the wall of his home and put in a garage sale my wife is having. She snatched it up and brought it to our home. When I saw it that deep feeling came back and suddenly I was a little kid again. Now GrandPa's art will live on our wall. In our home.
---
Notice things. Appreciate them. Love people. Show them gratitude. I wanted my GrandPa Mack’s art to live on so I made a simple illustration of it. I know he’d approve.
