Falling in Love with Baseball

I have recently just finished designing a book for Chris Mavraedis, who was been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease a few years ago. The project is being commissioned by Chris and supported by the San Francisco Giants and the ALS Golden West Chapter. This book is a collection of stories and emails that Chris has written over the years about his love for baseball since he began to lose his ability to speak. I have gone through many versions to design the book, focusing on legibility and attention-grabbing images. With the help of the Giants’ photo library, a foreword by the manager, as well as quotes from past players, this baseball book is set for delivery May 19th. The book can be found at the Giants’ Dugout Store or on Amazon. We currently just finished the pre-production stage, where I was working with Chronicle Books to edit the design and copy to meet their standards. I have designed this book from scratch, cover to cover.
