Ryan Adams - Prisoner

So I decided I would make a series where I listen to new music and try and abstractly describe how they made me feel. I have been listening to Ryan Adam's Prisoner a lot so I began with that. I really liked the project which is odd because I thought it would be a lot like Lana Del Ray. Most of the melodies on the LP are pretty upbeat but you can definitely feel a creeping sadness when you dig into the lyrics. If you're looking for what feels like a breakup album but you don't want to commit to the tears, I'd recommend it.
