I got to see the musical Waitress for a second time this past weekend - with Sara Bareilles in the lead role (who also wrote the music and lyrics). It was just as good as the first time I saw it last May (with fewer tears, too!)

I wanted to give a nod to the delicious pie(s) that act as a central theme/focal point for the show and it's characters. The whole lattice pattern is a tricky thing, but I'm happy with the result - a juicy and funky cherry pie!
