Add To Cart Drop Down

A drop down menu for an add to cart button which allows users to choose whether to continue to their cart or return to shopping.

The default experience on most ecommerce sites is that when the user clicks 'Add to Cart' they are immediately directed to their cart to begin the checkout process. This experience is not ideal for users planning to continue their shopping. With this design, users expecting to add more items to their cart can interact with the dropdown to return to shopping instead of being directed to a cart page which they would immediately navigate away from.

The drop down appears after hovering over the Add to Cart button. If a user clicks the button prior to the menu appearing, the item gets added to their cart and they are directed to their cart page per usual.
