E is for Edmonton Trappers

The Edmonton Trappers were the triple A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins in the Pacific Coast League. Named after the fur trappers who made their living with the Hudson’s Bay Company, they played from 1981-2004, capturing six division titles, going on to win the league in four of those six seasons. The Trappers were purchased by HOF pitcher Nolan Ryan in 2003, and moved to Round Rock, Texas in 2004. The Trappers contributed many high caliber players to the Major Leagues, including Twins staples like Michael Cuddyer, Johan Santana, and Justin Morneau.
