Brainbox

We were brought on to help clean up the interface as well as improve the UX and envision future functionalities. Brainbox is a web-based tool connecting neuroscientists around the world and empowering them to share research and data (specifically MRI data sets) in the open sourced community. It was a project stemmed off of MIT and Eyewire http://eyewire.org/explore.
It was a part of the open science prize and though it made it past multiple rounds of judging and beat out hundreds of other projects it unfortunately did not win the grand prize. That said, the creators and developers did an amazing job and it was really great to be a part of the team and work along side my fellow designers and neuroscientists. Looking forward to doing more work in the science and health community.
