Mobile Modal Overlays

My take on modal windows for mobile viewports. The opinion I have is that it's a safer choice not to leave margins on the sides, and the experience of a modal would be achieved with the aid of a meaningful motion triggered by a user's action.

This is done for a responsive website, not a native mobile app.
