Red Sox Scores: April 14, 2017
Game No. 010
The Tampa Bay Rays came rolling into Fenway on Friday night and rocked Red Sox starter Rick Porcello, taking him deep four times — including a grand slam — and charging him with eight earned runs. Despite racking up 14 hits, Boston missed the lion’s share of their scoring opportunities, leaving 12 runners on base. Despite a late inning surge, they couldn’t claw their way back in the game.
•••• For every Red Sox game this season, @Dan Perrera / @Amy Parker and I will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
