02 Overhead Phone Lines

Number 2 in my Britishness series.

Where I grew up it's rare to see a street or neighbourhood with overhead phone lines. All that stuff has been neatly buried underground many decades ago. Even after being in Britain for 20 years it still amazes me that overhead phone lines are still a thing and that no attempt seems to be made to sort them out. Once and for all.
