Vanz A Make Her Dance

I don't support a lot of brands. As someone concerned about environmental sustainability and living simply, I try not to buy products unless I can get a lot of mileage out of them.

That said, longboarding is one of my favorite things to do when not designing and I only ride Vans. They are a wonderful board shoe that look great as your everyday kicks as well.

I designed this as fan art (or Van art?) to my favorite sk8 shoes and the wonderful SoCal vibe they've woven into their brand.

I started this piece with a freehand sketch (see attached) and then vectorized and painted using swatches from an early-70s illustration.
