Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Races 2017

The wife and I enjoyed a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the Thames for the Boat Races April 2nd. Definitely a London staple event. It has taken place since 1829 and is one of the most attended sporting events in the city. 250,000 people take to the banks every year. This year the women of Cambridge pulled away with an impressive victory by 11 lengths all thanks to an unfortunate mishap right at the start by Oxford. For the men, Oxford edged out Cambridge by 1 1/4 lengths and was one hell of a race! Can't wait to do it again next year!
