Red Sox Scores: April 8, 2017

Game No. 004

The Detroit Tigers were able to hold the ailing Red Sox to just one run on Saturday afternoon. The flu forced some of their best players onto the bench, including Hanley Ramírez, Mookie Betts, and Joe Kelly, and sidelined play-by-play announcer Dave O’Brien in the middle of the game. Starter Eduardo Rodriquez didn’t fair too well either, giving up four runs in five innings, including two homers, and was charged with his first loss of the season. 🤢

For every Red Sox game this season, @Amy Parker and I will be visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. New for this year: home games will be on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox will always be red.
