Blue Jackets Score: April 6, 2017

Game 80 / Check out the whole project here

Let's light a match soon. Jackets fell short in the third but looked more like themselves.

-2 games are left in the regular season before we face off against the Penguins. I know that technically once the series starts we are all at a blank slate, but it doesn’t feel that way the last few games. Thankfully, last night we saw that spark of resilience that has fired the Jackets all season.

-Foligno started the game out scoring 6:58 into the first period. But before the first 20 were up the Jets got 2 of their own past Korpi.

-The second period didn’t start out on a good note. The Jets extended their lead to 2 goals just short of 4 minutes in. Thankfully the Jackets woke up and Brandon Saad snapped 2 shots past Winnipeg to tie the game at 3-3 at the end of the period.

-The third had it’s ups and downs with Trouba getting his second PP goal of the game and Little his first goal. Even though Jenner fought his way to a goal just before halfway, ultimately the CBJ couldn’t catch up and lost by one.

-Winnipeg has won six of its last eight games against Columbus.

-Winnipeg C Jack Roslovic, who grew up in Columbus and played at Miami University made his NHL debut. He is the first Columbus born hockey player to appear in the NHL.
