Wedding Invites

Had a wonderful time designing my wedding invites last year. I would have loved to get these letter pressed, but costs were a bit prohibitive. It turns out that weddings are kind of expensive!

I'd like to credit @Nick Franchi among the many designers on dribbble for the inspiration of these invites. I modified the bear I saw on his invite because I loved the design so much and I kind of got rolling from there.

Key details:
The bear on the left represents the the Sleeping Bear Dunes of the state of Michigan, where my wife is from. The bear on the right represents the state of California, where I'm from. The sun between the two bears represents the beginning of a new chapter in our lives together.

The Golden Gate Bridge is for the 10+ years we've each lived in the Bay Area and the tent and mountains are for our love of the outdoors and camping. The symbol above the bridge is from a living art project called the Jejune Institute which we participated in together and which had a big impact on our relationship.
