Glossary Term Inline Tooltip Expanding Definition

For a soon to launch website that called for an integrated glossary of medical terms I had a need to design and build a better method for integrating term definitions.

Most existing solutions use a hover effect to open a tooltip style "bubble" popup but these are obtrusive, cover up the text, and don't work well responsively.

This approach opens the glossary term definition in place, expanding the text in the paragraph to accommodate an excerpt of the definition.
