early designs

Some samples of my early graphic design projects. Most of my work was in video production back then but I always found extra time to design fun stuff like cd covers, ad fliers and posters.
The "grungy" look was all the rage back then. I remember when I first started playing with masking effects in Photoshop and I uploaded hundreds of brushes to make these "scratchy" designs possible. It would take forever to load.
The "Futurism" flier was actually my first paid job for a local gallery in my neighborhood of North Park. I got the job because I handled printing myself, which was actually only possible because my design school buddy worked at Kinkos. I got $50 and all the beer and goat cheese I could eat at the show. Life was good.
