Blog Search - UI Challenge #19

Hi guys,

this design shows the interaction for a search function. On the landing page you can find a blog with the newest articles. When the user wants to search for specific articles or categories he can click on the search icon, which will transition to a fullscreen overlay, where the user can type in his keyword. The search results will then be animated to the screen.
I wanted to keep the layout clean and give it a magazinish look, so I combined a traditional serif typeface with a modern sans-serif.
I know Proxima Nova is a bit overused, but I really like it. The serif typeface is Romain Text Trial. It's pretty cool that you can use this typeface as a trial and for student projects :) I really like it.
What do you think about the combination?
