Office of the Clerk Homepage Design
Office of the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives website serves the Clerk and House members. The site allows Members of Congress to watch floor proceedings, check the schedule of future floor activity and to see the vote results. The site also serves as a Rolodex for members and all the various committees within the House of Representatives.
I was one of three designers to develop an initial design direction. Once a look and feel were chosen, I developed the remaining wireframes in UXPin and extended the visual vocabulary to the remaining template pages. A component library as created afterward. I worked with a front end developer to build the site out and QA'd the developed templates.
I also worked on redesigning their logo, starting with hand sketching, refining the direction through black and white studies, and then exploring color variations for the final logo direction.
