Book Ledge v1ish

Inspired by this photo from Medium HQ, I'm designing a set of simple book “ledges” for my office. I want to use walnut or African mahogany, and I'm grappling with the need for the material to be fairly beefy to hold up to books while maintaining a lightweight appearance.

I'm fairly certain this will change a few more times before it's ready to build a set.
