I never use escalator when there's a classic staircase next to it. First of all, escalator is way too slow for me. My pace is faster than any escalator. I'm a kind of vigorous person so i hate wasting time waiting for this awful machine to deliver me up. And you have to look at someones ass if he stands two or three steps higher.

Second, hand rests are always dirty. Always. Third, using a staircase is way more beneficial for your knee joints.
