Blue Jackets Score: March 10, 2017

Game 66 / Check out the whole project here

Game Highlights:
Well, the Jackets didn’t set a new shutout record yet, but with our 43rd victory of the season, we have tied our franchise season record (set in 2013-14).

-The first 2 periods seemed like we were playing yo yo more than hockey. Buffalo scored first, breaking Bob’s shutout spree just 2:50 into the first period. But we came back and put 2 in the net before the period ended.

-During the second we traded goals again, and just shy of 6 mins into the final twenty the Sabres snapped another puck past Bob making it an even 3-3 with 2 power play goals under our belts.

-Boone Jenner ended the night as the Number 1 star because of his slick game-winning goal. With just over 5 mins left in the game it looked like the puck was strategically glued to Boone's stick the way he skated through the crease and wrapped it around Buffalo's goalie, Lehner.

-On the Sabres side, Josh Gorges scored his first goal in more than a year. 78 games to be exact.

-This marks the Sabres 4th straight loss and the Jackets 3rd win (and 7th win out of our last 10 games!)

-Zach Werenski earned his 40th point of the season to break the Blue Jackets record for rookie scoring. The record was formerly held by past Jacket: Rick Nash in 02-03. It took Werenski 8 less games than Nash to achieve this milestone.
