Shadow

Part 2 in a 5 piece series of illustrations that will be the designs for the back of 5 decks of cards. Each one represents a environment and a set of creatures for the tabletop game Capital of Magic. I’ve done several pieces for this game already and have been loving the project and the client!

This illustration will appear on the back of the cards that depict the shadow creatures that are mostly demonic in nature. The 7 roses symbolize, you guessed it, the 7 deadly sins. The coyote skull and raven are dark and ominous symbols and both animals have a rich history of being tricksters in mythology.

The illustration is meant to have no orientation so it can be viewed from any angle as it would be used in game play.
