BB&T Logo Guideline
Advance Typography project to rebrand and produce a logo guideline booklet. I chose to rebrand the bank I bank with. BB&T has been in business for more than 100 years, and it promotes itself as a local small-town bank. However they are now a nationally recognized bank with branches that span from Virginia to Texas and as far south as Georgia. My goal was to refresh their look by brightening their signature burgundy red and adding the symbolic multi-color flower as a logo element. The flower represents growth while its colors, when used accordingly, subconsciously reflect different feelings. Green symbolizes growth as well as money and wealth. Blue is a calming color and reflects tranquility and trust. Yellow and red together promotes happiness but also speed. Used effectively these colors can provide customers with different feelings that promote better business transactions as well as to draw a younger crowd. I used a similar, modified, typeface as the one they currently have to not confuse their older customers and to also draw from the bank's long history
