Receiving Feedback

Due to the subjective nature of the industry itself, there is a tendency to give feedback even when not necessary due to the lifecycle stage at which the product is at. There's also an element of credibility that comes into play. 'Should I listen to what you have to say? Will your opinion surface problems and not just hand me solutions which will bias my thought process?'.

I have this strong belief that everything we do should be imbued with thought, which brings me to this shot over here. This is basically me articulating my design decisions visually before a light critique session with my colleagues. I've found that by clearly explaining my rationale, it encourages further interactivity in a debate which furthermore leads to super helpful (and actionable) feedback.

Of course this is an ultra granular (and rudimentary) thing to place my focus upon as this level of obsessiveness can be translated to problems that actually need it due to their high stake nature. I guess I can take this as preparation for when I'm solving much harder, and much more taxing problems.
