Recipe collection split screen

I've been thinking a lot about what the best recipe collection would look like, mostly for personal use, and have started building it as a Jekyll site. Most of the time, I won't have images, so good typography will be key.

Tried out this split-screen approach using Sketch + Principle to see how I feel about it.
