Let's talk about sushi. 寿司 is one of the associations that come first when you think of Japan.

Of course, there is no word for sushi in Karelian. But if it was, apparently it must have been suši. Anyway, in Russia sushi became another kind of fast food lately, and it's sad. U can buy them everywhere from supermarket to sushi shop, which are on every corner. They are pretty tasty here and i love sushi, but i don't eat them in Russia. They have nothing to do with culture of eating sushi.

Just like i don't drink local Russian beer after i first visited Czech Republic. What people drink here is just not beer. There always be a place for exception of course, but in average local beer has nothing to do with taste after you try Czech beer.

I think difference between Russian sushi and Japanese is even bigger, so i wish i could go to Japan and check how huge is the gap.

Fun fact. I tried a Big Mac for a first time at the age of 26, and since then, I don't eat burgers at all, pizza, or any other fast food whatsoever. Maybe this happen to me because I tried a brown bear at the age of six.
