logo concept for a hotel & restaurant

This is a logo concept for a small hotel & restaurant in Tyrol, Austria. The name knappenstuben is a mix of -knappe- that means -miner- and -stuben- that means -parlor-. So the knappenstuben was a place where the miners met eachother after work. The idea I wanted to convey with the logo was warmth, light and mystery, to create a feeling that the old window leads to a small, warm and cosy place/room. I created a hand drawn illustration of the miners lamp, standing in the window lit with light.
