M is for Montreal Royals

The Montreal Royals certainly knew how to cover the bases. This 9 title team played from 1897-1960, playing at the B, A, AA, and AAA levels. In their heyday they were in the affiliate system with the Philadelphia Athletics, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers. Jackie Robinson broke into the Minor Leagues with the Royals, and Tommy Lasorda and Roberto Clemente spent time there as well.
