R is for Rapid City Chiefs

The Rapid City Chiefs were part South Dakota Basin League. Formed in 1953, the Basin League produced solid baseball competition for 30 years. Though it was made up of small town teams from rural states, the league yielded 3 Hall of Fame players who now have their spot in Cooperstown.
