Film Logo

Created this logo for a local filmmaker who is doing a documentary series on the city of Lowell, MA. It evokes the mill windows and architecture while also doubling as a film strip. The swoosh form at the top of the strip also echoes the Merrimack River, which runs around the city's downtown in that shape. The smokestack is added to make the form more obvious.

Though regionally using a mill & smokestack in a logo is pretty basic, I felt the added architectural and geographic references made this one a pretty enjoyable take on that particular genre.
