Whyd - Waiting list.
We're so excited to announce that we’ve sold-out of our first batch! What a ride! It's the culmination of 7 months of work.
The main goal of these updated web pages was to keep list of future customers. We prefer to sell our products in small quantities to stay in control of the production of our first units — so we stopped taking pre-orders on our website and set up a waiting list. Any interested customer can join our waiting list by sharing their e-mail addresses with us. We’ll send them an email when the second batch opens.
I was inspired by Mailchimp's unsubscribe flow. A simple straightforward flow:
1. The user clicks on the unsubscribe link.
2. Mailchimp informs him that the it's been taken into account.
3. If the user chooses, he can add some information about the reason why he chose to unsubscribe.
We decided to focus on a similar experience: The user leaves his email to join the waiting list. We inform him that he's signed up successfully. Then, he can specify his favorite color. (On our end, this allows us to anticipate the upcoming units we need to produce.)
Oh, and in case you were wondering, the white and black speaker are our bestselling colors.
You can see the live version here and you can read our blog post here.

Thanks to Thibault Lemaitre for the copywriting and Damien Romito for the integration.
Due to a lack of time, we modified the animation a little.
