uber of the wine world
Spent the last few days working on a new app with @Patryk Sobczak, and as weird as it sounds, the basic idea could be summed up in three words: uber for wines.
It allows New Yorkers to store their wine at a perfectly humid wine cellar kept at exactly 59° F. Users can request pickup (a person comes over, packs and takes the wine to the cellar, digitally tagging the bottle so we can reuse the data later on in our filtering / sommelier functionalities) or request delivery at any point, so a sip of that ‘04 Cabernet Sauvignon is just a few taps and about 45 minutes away (that’s the delivery time guarantee).
The idea is to charge monthly per bottle stored, but we came up with some other ways to monetize the concept while providing extra value to the customers. Pretty excited about this, will probably show off some UI animations next!
Thoughts?
