9th Street BMX Pump Track Race lockup

The hero type lockup for a kids’ race event at Austin’s world-famous 9th Street BMX trails. The script is “Eastside” by Simon Walker (Dribbble user super_furry), and has a modified lowercase p and terminals. “RACE” is set in Core Sans C ( a better alternative to Futura’s wonky capital C) and is customized with speed lines. The tire effect in the crossbar of the capital T is actually modeled using the classic BMX race tire called a Tioga Comp III — unfortunately the details are too small to see in print.
