The Atlas of Anti-destinations

This is a preview of a few spreads of 'The Atlas of Anti-destinations', created for my MFA thesis. The book is meant to encourage people away from urban areas toward 'anti-destinations' or places we normally wouldn't seek out. I researched and mapped out the darkest, least populated, most isolated, and quietest places in the state of Oklahoma. I also wrote several essays defending these places and discussing the necessity of their preservation. The goal is that people will use this atlas to encounter the natural landscape, and therefore be willing to speak on behalf of the land when its preservation is in question due to business, development, or various other outside influences.
