Marky's Discrete mode (animation)

Hi there,

During the user tests we discovered that there are two types of interviewers.

Type A: Interviewers, who don't show their phones to the interviewees, so they are the only ones who can see the voice recorder's screen.

Type B: Interviewers, who put their phones on the table, so that the interviewee can see it, too.

In the first case, Marky's time counter and the sound waves seemed to be must-have features, that give useful information to the interviewer.

However, in the latter case, we realized that interviewees don't like the moving sound waves and the time counter, as these elements distract them, and make them feel uncomfortable.

This is why we created the Discrete mode: a mode, when the time counter, the sound waves and the marks are hidden, and only a very small animation (rotating eyes of the cassette face) shows that the recording is still on.
