Crystalline Consciousness

This was an incredibly fun mandala to work on! It features a quartz crystal array that's laid out in roughly the same pattern as a compass, sitting on top of a geometric lotus backdrop.

I had this on the back-burner for a bit, as I couldn't settle on a palette to render it with. I had been living in Florida for a year, and just moved up north last month. After seeing Philadelphia covered in snow last week, I was instantly inspired to use a cold winter palette. I think it really suits it well, especially since the quartz crystals slightly resemble the crystallized water found in snowflakes.
