Brave Surf

The ultimate UX challenge: creating an art show for the visually impaired.

The show was based on a surf clothing/apparel line for the 25 visually impaired surfers that braved the elements each year in Gloucester, MA. I was shocked by the bravery of these kids and partnered with The Carroll Center for the Blind and Brickhouse surf shop to create a clothing line and gallery.

The show included a yellow track for visually impaired students to walk take a guided tour through the gallery. There were descriptions of everything at the show (both in Braille and audio formats). The brochures and clothing tags were also in Braille and the logos were printed on a special 3D paper so the students could touch the art.

Needless to say, it was a really special project to be a part of and I'm thankful for all the help I received along the way.
