Expenses tracking app 💵

This is a small self-initiated project with the purpose of thinking of and exploring on how to improve the user experience and usability, while also working on my animation and UI skills at the same time. Moneyboard© is an app for tracking expenses that I use on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day. And it’s doing a great job.

My focus was on three areas:
1. Transactions feed - checking the feed, comparing, editing, etc.
2. Adding transactions - adding new incomes or expenses
3. Dashboard - checking the overall balance (yearly, sometimes monthly)

Transactions feed 📓
The transactions tab has been moved to be the default. To improve discoverability, actions in the header are replaced with text labels and the FAB button is introduced. In this case, the feed is all about user content. To help focus on the content, there are improvements regarding content hierarchy, typography, white space and calm colors. As this App is a tool, the idea is to find a more system-like UI look and feel.
