Watch Filters on iOS

Hopper has been predicting and alerting flyers when to buy the absolute cheapest flights. But for many travelers, convenience or comfort may be more important than getting the absolute cheapest flight.

We’re excited to extend our Watch Filters feature to iOS! You’ll now be able to set your flight preferences, such as removing stops, long layovers, and basic fares (cheaper fares, but with more restrictions and fees for things like seat selection and bags).

While this has been a long time coming, it was never a trivial project for us, since filters not only effects what flights we show you, but our forecasts, recommendations, and predictions. Now, we will notify you when to buy based off of the cheapest flight *for your unique preferences*. Pretty cool stuff.

And, since releasing it on Android first, we learned that many people were so used to filtering on flight lists only that they didn't know our filters also influence the data and predictions we show you, and the notifications we send. So, we added a smart prompt on the prediction screen now that lets you know if you can add certain filters for the same price or for how much more, and apply the suggested filters in one tap! This automatically updates your watch too, if you are already watching the trip.
