Turkey Logo?

Second at bat.... Why a turkey? Cause it's all about that baste, no trouble. Haha. Just kidding. Seriously though, feedback would be great on if this idea is absolutely bonkers.

Here's the background: Benjamin Franklin - one of the United States' founding fathers - wanted the national bird to be the turkey. Of course, the national bird became the Bald Eagle, a very majestic raptor. But, I've always loved the fact that Ben wanted to brand America as the Turkey Nation.

Maybe it was that he wanted to move away from the splendorous trappings of the monarchy. Maybe it was that he wanted the average American to be able to identify with the nation's symbols. Whatever the motivation, there's certainly something whimsical, daring, and not a little eccentric about it.

When I think about branding, I always want to push the client to choose the turkey over the eagle. Risky, yes. Different, yes. But, definitely not cliche. Definitely not overused. Definitely memorable. Those are things I desire for my own brand.

Thoughts?
