Bold Script B in Stages

I'm often asked about my drawing process. So here's an illustration showing various stages of drafting a bold script 'B' in Illustrator, if you're interested. A larger view is attached.

Green: Plotting nodes at extrema points using the Pen Tool (P).

Orange: Starting at the swash, begin pulling control handles from the nodes using the Anchor Point Tool (Shift+C).

Yellow: Working clockwise around the forms, continue pulling control handles, holding down the shift key to keep them horizontal and vertical, and adjusting as needed.

Blue: Further refining curves by adjusting handles and nodes, keeping handles as proportionately equal as possible along curve segments and adding nodes with the Add Anchor Point Tool (+) as needed (e.g. Inflection points on the paths of the stem).
