Jan 3, 1977 – Apple Computer, Inc. was incorporated by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. Later that year, the Apple II was introduced at the West Coast Computer Faire by Jobs. It became one of the first highly successful mass-produced 8-bit home computers. The word "Computer" was removed from its name on January 9, 2007, reflecting its shifted focus towards consumer electronics after the introduction of the iPhone.
