Paper Plane Trio

I designed these using pen and paper in my sketchbook one day with the intent to digitize them. During my Adobe Imaging class, I needed to work with the pen tool and thought it would be a great opportunity to use my planes. I used "Make and Expand" via Illustrator to vectorize my drawings, and used the original images as a stencil while tracing over the originals with the pen tool. I kept to a monotone color scheme, especially for the planes themselves, and used very simple, basic shading to create depth and dimension. Overall, I wanted to give the impression that the planes were taking flight.
