2017 🍻

2016 has been a crazy year for everyone. We all know – we've tweeted, meme'd and sh*t posted our way through the year.

I was gonna write a medium article, but I ended just being lazy and decided just to post here. Overall, this year has had a lot of ups and downs (as most years do for most people). Life isn't perfect – but that is what makes it fun!

This year I graduated from school and I landed my first major job. Working at Comcast the last 8 months has really changed me both as a designer and a person. I rolled right into this job straight out of school with only a 2-year design degree at 21 years old. I had to grow up real fast and learn quick. Most people my age are either still in school or looking for jobs in their respected fields. This also being my first job, it's also a pretty big task for me since I didn't start out on the bottom of the ladder at a small design agency – I was brought straight into the big leagues and that required me to learn at a pace I was previously not accustomed too.

I'm extremely honoured that I have the opportunity to work at a company like Comcast and work with some of the area's most talented creatives. 2017 will be a big year for me – both as a designer and an individual. As a designer, this first year at Comcast will define my creative career. I'll also be getting my first "NEW" car and be moving into my own place very soon.

Like I said before, I'm extremely honored that I have this opportunity and I'm excited to see what 2017 has to offer.
